Hi,

Is everyone on this list knows a way to do an alternate tuning of the A6' keyboard? (instead of the equal temperament).
Maybe with the tracking generator but how??

Thanks in advance for the brainstorming!

Jean-Baptiste.

Hi Jean Baptiste,

unless you want to tune only one octave, I don't think it's possible. MIDI key-numbers range from 1 to 127 and the TGEN's output will be applied to the whole range. If you reduce the range to something more manageable and musically meaningful, you can select 12 (consecutive) steps from the TGEN's output and manually adjust the output value for these steps accordingly. You then need to modulate either one or both VCOs with the TGEN output and you can have adjustable tuning for one octave. I am not in front of my A6 right now but I am pretty sure it works like this.

I hope this helps!

Hi again,

I tried with the tracking generator but It seems to work like an arpeggiator...I mean, I haven't found the way of doing what you said.

But I found another way for an alternate tuning while modulating the VCO's frequency with VOX KEY NUMBER...(the limitation is : you'll have an equal gap between the notes).

As an example, for having one octave, divided in 48 steps (keys), you have to set the level at -40...

The result is quiet astounding!

Best,
J.B

in order to do something like that you need an application like LMSO (if you use a Mac) Exclamation
