I try to use Midiox to send presets from my computer to A6.

Can´t get it to work though.

Can anybody help me check what´s missing?

On the A6
- I´ve pressed the GLOBAL button on the A6 front panel, gone to the MIDI page and set SYSRX (SysEx Receive) to ON.
- I´ve pressed the STORE button on the A6 front panel, hit soft button #5 SYSEX and then tweaked soft button #3 labelled RCV TO (Receive To) until it says ORIGIN. (I´ve also tried Card.)

In Midiox
- I´ve made sure I have a routing from the MIDI-OX Event port to the output port my A6 is attached to. I´ve used View | Port Routings... to confirm this.
- I´ve made sure that Options | Pass SysEx... is checked.
- I´ve loaded a .Syx file preset into the Command Window in the SysEx view and made sure it begins with F0 and Ends with F7 (a valid SysEx command).
- I´ve chosen Command Window | Send SysEx.
- The A6 doesn´t respond to it. I´ve tried increasing the delays (SysEx | Configure...) and retried.

Still doesn´t work.

There are for example several cool presets I´ve got on this forum that I because of this can´t try out. Sad

Please help! head banging monitor

Have you tried a different midi cable?
Are there any error messages?
You could try A6 Banker and see if that works.

I suppose the midi port is opened? (4th button from right on toolbar in MidiOX).
When you click 'send sysex', do you see the progress bar appear?
Have you tried it with another synth?
Does the pc send any other midi data ok? (sequencer etc.)

At last!! It works! party!

Can´t say exactly what it was that I did wrong.

But I found out that when I, a bit down the road, tried to send an other patch, it worked at last.

Maybe it was, after all, something wrong with the earlier patch I tried to send from my computer to the A6.

Anyway, thanks for your help, freq. thanks Your responses kept my hopes up.
