Librarians Subject description: MidiQuest, Unisyn, Jsynthlib |
|
|
Anyone out there use either MidiQuest or Unisyn with their A6? If so how well do they work? Also what's the secret to using Jsynthlib? It doesn't seem to do anything. I can see midi activity but nothing seems to actually transfer to or from the A6. I'm looking for something that will allow me to organize patches (move, rename, copy/paste, delete, etc.) within banks. |

i tried Jsynthlib today, and it only loads to the first slot and freezes my synth from scrolling past it. really confusing and messy app in my opinion.
i want a much better librarian, and have no idea what to use...
(i am on osx, and use pro tools) |

Mark Strijbos is preparing something like that. Check out this page:

I contacted him about a month ago and he appeared to be quite busy, but if we pester him often he might finish it quickly. (Or he will dump it.. ) |

No. Not a typo. I had emailed the developer last year and he said he didn't think there was enough interest in it so he put it aside but may finish it eventually. |

I bought a librarian for the A6 and lost both time and money.
If you are just going to send and receive presets from your computer and A6, just try Midiox. It´s free and it works.
Here you have a simple walkthrough to send/receive presets to/from your synth using Midiox:

Sunny,
I haven't tried it with the A6 yet, but "Sysex Librarian" works fine on my QS6 and MicroKorg, so I can't see why it wouldn't work with the A6.

I've been on vacation for a week, so once I catch up with work, I'll try to get back to making music with my A6.
Off Topic:
I recently picked up a little something to do while waiting around in airports and such -- the Korg Kaossilator. REALLY fun pocket-sized music maker. I highly recommend it to all! _________________ Shameless plug: http://www.soundcloud.com/rh2y
