Colored Switch Tops |
 |
|
I have noticed that several people have natty coloured plastic covers over their switches.
I like these.
I want these.
I can't find these anywhere
Can somebody P*LA*E*A*S*E tell me where I can buy them (preferably in the UK) or at least what they are called so I can look for them myself.
Just in case you don't know what I am on about you can see a couple of classic examples here, gloating at me in their evil blackness... _________________ Zodiak |

I've found it very hard to find them too.
Dick Smith used to have them in a bag of assorted colours, but they discontinued them. Due to the internet, DIY electronics is actually going through a big resurgence all over the world, but unfortunately some of the major established suppliers are winding down their product lines. Some marketing "experts" are just so 1980s!
Anyway, some toggle switches come with a plastic cap already on them. I've found black, red, blue, and yellow this way. But you end up with toggle switches you don't need/want.
If you can find a supplier of the bags of plastic covers I'd be glad to know. They must still be out there somewhere. I've tried searching the Farnell, RS components, Wagner web sites, but I reckon the best bet would be some supplier from the states.
Best of luck. _________________ Ironically, rocket science is not actually as complicated as it once was.

Best of luck. | I have also tried CPC, Rapid, Maplin...
I seem to remember a few years ago that we were getting fiber optic cables with little rubber covers over the end. These might do the job but I don't work there anymore so can't easily get them. _________________ Zodiak |

Why don't you see if you can arrange a group buy for people in Europe, that way you can split the shipping costs amongst a few people.
If your not in a hurry, I can get some on my next order, and airmail them to you. I just put an order in last week, so it will probably be a month or so before I put in another order. _________________ Dave

I really don't fancy organising another group buy after I was left with a pile of plastic project boxes last year because people changed their mind and didn't send me the money _________________ Zodiak |
