Looking for MIDI channel selector to bypass OMNI ON

I was wondering if there was a dedicated device that that filtered MIDI channel messages for this reason. I saw a Phil Rees device that seemed like it did this, but I think it's been discontinued.

Would this be another alternative:

Send MIDI out to a random device like a Roland MS-1 sampler, set it to recieve a certain channel, then send its MIDI out to the Siel synth.

I think this might work, but I'd hate to waste an instrument just to do this. I was hoping there was something really small like the Midiman MIDI merger box I recently bought.

Look for an old Roland MPU-103 midi channel filter.

Is there anything MIDI Solutions can't do? I heard they built a device that could stop time but some guy dropped it and while it was falling it froze in mid-air and has stayed hanging like that ever since Surprised

Wait- am I going about this all wrong? I found the company Anatek that used to sell exactly what I needed - an incredibly simple MIDI filter - but of course the products are all discontinued.

Why don't I just add a USB-to-MIDI interface? Right now, I'm just using an M-Audio sound card and a MIDI merger for two other instruments. Am I that dumb that I missed this entirely? Embarassed

And to make things crazier, I got a Korg Poly-61 on Saturday. I was really hurting for an arpeggiator (as mentioned in another thread, of course). There is this guy online that had incredibly detailed instructions on how to clean the keys (I still have a few dead ones left). Other than that, it's in great shape (I won that and two effects units that were also included for $42.50 - amazing). I'm still trying to figure out the external sync function for the arpeggiator. There might be a voltage issue. I assumed I just needed a 5V dealie like a drumpad trigger, but nothing has worked so far, except plugging in my mixer's output. I'm sure I can find something to trigger it, but how is that going to sync up to the song on the PC?

Anyway, after that, I will be MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE.
