Hi I have been experimenting with a VCclock that changes its timing through an CV sequencer - that means you can choose the length of a note as well as the pitch in a sequence.

I really want to then count intervals from the sequence and then add regular 4/4 divisions to it. this would be done by a counter then divider

I have realised that time division is impossible with logic ( or is it? )

would it be feesable with microcontrollers in a sort of tap tempo way? being it would take a few cycles before it syncs?

has anyone already made a sort of tap tempo circuit, how easy are they to design? ( im at the very beggining of PIC micros )

Variant: if clock osc a saw, (from 0 up to V, for example), it is possible to define Vref's = 3/4V, V/2, V/4 for comparators.
Their outputs - sync pulses.
