hi folks, i got the beginnings of my modular set up this week. a 3-osc system from dotcom with the moog 24db transistor ladder filter. if youre into woodwork, heres pics of the cab i built:

anyway, i cant figure out how to modulate the filter with the sample and hold module(my favorite oberheim feature). i feel like ive tried all the possibilities, but this modular stuff is very new to me, so im sure its there somewhere. the dotcom s/h has an internal clock. if i route the oscs thru the in/out of the s/h, it seems like it applies it to the amplitude. if i source an LFO thru it, then into the filter, i just get an on/off thing at the rate of the LFO. i just want to apply to the filter. any hints? thanks guys.

The classic effect I think you're looking for, is noise or an lfo into the S&H, the output of the S&H into a frequency CV input on the filter

try this:
with the noise, mix a little sawtooth or ramp in with the noise. it can give the randomness some melodic patterns. Tweaking is required by law.
