A piece based on a dodecatonic scale which repeats every 1901.955 cents (3/1 ratio). In order to fit a BP scale into an octave of a standard keyboard I chose to eliminate one of the usual 13 steps of it and I based this decision on the Bohlen-Pierce Scale Research Paper by Elaine Walker (the pattern of my scale is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13).

thanks guys
and thanks to the guy who said it was "aggressively unpleasant" because somehow, I think, in a good way, it is Very Happy as I replied to him: "once in a while it is cool to feel aggressively unpleasant". Just for a change... Wink You can not possibly be always a nice guy Exclamation

this is nice, like this rock, though beats could harden up, though, most probably, it would make the whole track more "aggressively 'you never know what may pleasure be' unpleasant" Smile

I agree,
If it sounded more like a real person, albeit a slightly unstable, overly excited, person was sitting behind the drumkit, then that would be the icing on the cake. Very Happy

Sorry if I am much too late on the thread, but I have been studying the Bohlen-Pierce Scale lately and have stumbled upon this song. Did you modify any of the notes besides eliminating the 5th one from your scale? And which version of the BP-Scale is it? Equal temperature or just?

Thanks for the follow-up. I find the tritave to be fascinating and I wish there was more stuff on it out there. Everything I've read about the BP-scale has been through Elaine Walker's research. I'm thinking of programming a midi controller and working out some chord progressions using it.
