Last Thursday, an old school buddy of mine rang up and said "hey! Foxx is doing a gig here on Saturday! I've got a ticket for you and we've got your flight down covered, so when do you get off work?"
It was definitely one of those "there's a twister on the horizon with my name on it" kind of situations. So I just held on tight and enjoyed the ride! Laughing
It was a great gig. Foxx doing the soundscapes for "tiny colour movies" at the start, and then he had a Q&A section before Louis came out on stage and helped with the heavier stuff. It was a really intimate show.
The venue was only about half full, (maybe 300 people) so we easily made our way down to the front of the stage, and were standing just 2 meters away from Foxx. Foldback monitors to hug, and a main bin about a meter to the left of us.
This was really solid electro-pop kind of dance tracks going straight through my beer filled belly! Yeah!!
I spent another couple of days in Sydney catching up with old friends, and came back on the train yesterday arvo.

Sounds like an excellent time. I'm glad that he's still so active and creative. Metamatic and the preceding singles were some of my favorite music back in the 80s.

Yes, I had something to say about Metamatic. Foxx gave me a wide grinn and a warm "thank you, it means so much to me that people still appreciate that album" and the audience actually cheered my comment!
Like a pig in shit I was! Laughing
