Lead and midi send

Hi, how do I program the Nord Lead 3 to send and receive midi data on the Cubase Studio 4? Rolling Eyes

Is there anyway you can check the Midi coming from the Lead using another Midi device? Have you checked the Midi Channels both in the synth and CuBase?
Are all cables connected right?

check the MIDI local on/off setting (if that's not what you mean Wout?)

Not exactly, because the NordLead always react to incoming Midi. Local Off means only the Keyboard and the Panel. 'one' has troubles with the connection between the computer and the synth: they don't communicate.

It could be the Midi channel is set to 'off', in which no Midi is send nor received.

Local off means the solund generation part of the synth doesn't react to the Keyboard anymore, but there is still Midi Out to the Midi port.

I can't do anything to the settings of CuBase, so, one, do other synths work well receiving or sendin Midi? If so, check the Midi channel settings of the NL3. Maybe they are set to 'off'.
