North London 3rd player required for experimental hip hop...

Apesounds seeks a third party to complete a lightweight, North London based line-up capable of producing music ranging through hip hop, experimental electronica, and dub right the way through to postmodern rock and psychedelia. Lyrically we are complex, philosophical and broadly anti-corporate.

We're looking for someone who can focus on electro-percussion but pick up other instruments (ideally guitar-violin, but we're open to suggestions), living locally (camden/maida vale area) who is serious about developing something creative, original and virtuoso in equal measures...

So far we have myself (An-shu - vocals/lyrix/bass/samples - listen to my work and read my lyrics at www.an-shu.com) and Georges - an accomplished young concert pianist who has just bought his first electronic keyboard and is driven by a desire to experiment outside his field.

The idea is to be portable - by dispensing with amps and going straight into a mixer, we should fit in one car, enabling us to pay our dues and hone our skills in the live arena (from squat parties to festivals) without too many logistical problems - what we have in mind is a 3 piece electronic/acoustic setup capable of building complex arrangements, rocking the roof down or splicing subtle soundscapes as required...

We don't mind if you're male or female, old or young, stylish or something of a gimp - but you should be young at heart and exude the kind of mysterious sophistication that makes people say, 'wow, who's that cool cat?' when you walk into the room.
