Hello, my name is Matthias Schmidt from curetronic.com.

Beside the curetronic modules recently I have offered layouts for
several people that are obtainable from me for 9 euros per item.

The first and the second pieces are vcfclones of roland 100m
system modul121 and of jen sx1000.
Silkscreen, layout and bom are in the pdf-file.

Then follow:
-roland 100m (modul 150) the ringmod, noise, s+h and clock
-phasershifter (modul 172)
-vco single (modul 112/110) with 726 replacement

Here is the link:http://www.curetronic.com/curetrbau/neubau/bau.htm

(Please bookmark this page, because it is not linked with the main
webpage of curetronic.com)

Possibly the reply to the inquiry takes a bit longer because my
English is not so good.

THX

Matthias,

A question about the 121 VCF doc. You mention there are two versions, depending on the VCA. Which version of the pcb is in the PDF?

[edit] think I already figured it out; it is the BA662 version.

Is the VCO (w/726 replacement) a buchla or moog-like vco?

Hello Matthias,

Thanks for the offers, I think I'll just wait till the phaser is ready so I'll order a few together.

Best regards,
Asaf

By the way, I got four BA6110 from Small Bear for the 121, but as a test, I also ordered a cheap 10-pack from Goodbuy711 (HKSS's twin ebay account). Some people claim all his semiconductors are either fakes or pulls, so I'm curious to see what I'll get...

I was about to order a 10 pack, too. I'm looking forward to hearing back after you've had a chance to test them.

They are still untested. I hope to finish the PCB tonigh. But here's a first comparison.

The ones from Goodbuy711 came in a Hong Kong Superseller enveloppe (as expected). To the left the ones from Small Bear, right the Goodbuy711 ones. The ones from Goodbuy711 are obviously pulls, legs are bent and sanded down. Ink used for stamping them is responding quite differently to the flash on my camera, so they might even turn out to be fakes but I won't draw any conclusions about that untill I can test them.

For people who read the above, I swapped left and right by mistake. Fixed that now, but people might not notice. There are four from Small Bear and ten from Goodbuy711. Just to make it clear.

PCB mostly populated so tests are closing in...

Okay, I finally got the 121 VCF in testable state. As far as I can tell, there is no difference between the Small Bear 6110's and the ones from Goodbuy711. So apart from them probably being pulls and not new (as claimed in the ad), they seem to be fine. No telling what someone else will get though, so I can only vouch for the ten I got.

To avoid even more confusion: my test-6110's came from eBay seller Goodbuy711 and not from HKSS. Even though I believe they are the same seller (they were shipped in an enveloppe with HKSS stamp on it), I can't be sure HKSS sells the same 6110's.

as long as it's a sys100 or sh7, that is. Smile

Neat. Something to use all those extra BA6110's in Very Happy

Now I only need to figure out how to fit these long pcb's in my Frac case.

These are very cool. I'm curious, how far along is the vco? when do you expect to have pcbs for it? Thanks.

thanks for doing this, matthias. i have a question-if if wait til the VCO is done, do you think you still will have vcf/vca boards left? got a backlog here, and would like to just pay shipping once. thanks.

Any more exciting modules planned after the remaining VCO?

My situation is almost the same as rjd2's above - I'm planning to buy the M-150 and 2 x M-121, but not the VCO, and I'm wondering if I should wait for some more goodies or just put my order and start soldering like crazy. Smile

Thanks for making these projects reality!
