One here. I registered here after seeing the link on the rebirth of Chameleon bb (good to see it back, even if read only). I'm more of a pretend developer. I have all the PDFs (thanks to Paul's site) and the intention but most of my few productive hours go on sequencing music. I'm still exploring one of the first skins I loaded up which is Australis.

(Sitting down for a break from mopping up all of the drool off of the floor .... cough cough)

By Chameleon - I'm presuming you have meant the Mellotron similar keyboard from way way way back? Shocked

I ...... don't think I can stand up. Shocked Laughing

(The Mellotron's choir sound is one of my most favourite sounds on the planet. Period. Would never be able to afford a real one though.)

If I AM mistaken, I'll just sit back in my drooling dream-world. Wink Laughing

I noticed you got the norwegian deal sorted out.

It seems that we are seeing a renewed interest in the Chameleon platform. That is really great.

In a way it the SoundArt Chameleon is the evil twin of the G2/NM-1. Cool
It is basically almost the same thing but the swedes locked down their product with a set way of doing things ( complete with a synth installed ).
Both concepts are of course valid.

Which reminds me of a friend who is always called Bob, but when his family is around they call him Peter, and then every other one looks around like Peter ... . It sort of was a a student thing, almost everyone got a nick especially when their real name was already 'taken' ... it cost me quite some effort to get rid of mine .. the funny thing being that when they needed something from me they'd know my real name perfectly well.

One here, in Ireland...any others on this island?
I read around the time Soundart ceased operating that only about 500 units were sold. Can anyone confirm this?

The exact number of units sold remains uncertain. To my understanding it was 'less than 1000', which most likely implies more than 500, but not necessarily by much... I don't really know, tough.

On the other hand, we know for sure that at least 14 must have been sold since that is the number of owned Chameleons reported in this thread so far Exclamation This is now the largest Chameleon community in the known universe Very Happy
