G2X Delayed, again...

Just got word that Clavia won't start shipping the G2X in another month. Thats the second time they have delayed it a month. Crying or Very sad

Since Clavia don't have any info on their site does anybody here heard any news? As it is now I have no idéa how long I can expect to wait...

I'm seriously thinking about getting a used G2 and buy something else (machinedrum?) for the money i'll be saving.

Anyhow, just had to get that off my chest.

Yeah, i know that as a clavia customer, you got to wait
some times! But the result justifies the waiting!

If you don't need the large keyboard, get a G2 and expand it and get
a beatbox, good idea! I started to use my RY 30 again in the combination
Ableton live G2 and RY 30. Thats a lot of fun.
I don't know about the maschine drum never had one, never heard one.

Could be a good combi Exclamation

True dat! But the waiting is killing me since I got rid of my NL3 to finance the G2X. I do have the Clavia Electro to play on still but being without a "master-synth" has made me totally creatively impotent Shocked

If the guy still has the MachineDrum for sale It will be G2 & MD.
More knobs for me! Twisted Evil

PS The machinedrum is a kicka*s drummachine (go figure Wink

Just got mine today Very Happy

. Apparently one of only 3 in the UK. First one was the UK distributers demo unit, and 2 more arrived from Sweden yesterday. More to come to the UK in October according to Clavia in Sweden. Electro 73s are thin on the ground here also.

Hey riscky and congratulations salut

From what I heard this is what's going on. Due to a component shortage Clavia only managed to put together about 100 G2X's for the first shipping. One stayed in Sweden and the rest was shipped elsewhere.

The next batch should be right around the corner but no definitive date...
This is just what I have been told, could be totally wrong but seems reasonable to me.

Still waiting... Dry-patching and reading the manual study

Now lets see. 1 to Sweden, 3 to UK, and lets assume 3 to Germany. That means 93 to the USA !!! A trifle unfair. Anyway, I'll be gigging the G2X on Saturday, so we'll see how it does ( Maybe a couple of carefully picked lead sounds, and a string pad or two). Needless to say, I'll need to depend on the shipped sounds till I get my head round the manual. Spanky, it must feel like a week in jail waiting for it, but Octobers not far away now. Keep on the distributers back to ensure you stay top of the list. Ahh well time to reading

. Somehow I don't think it will be as easy as the Electro's.

Aaah! Allmost two months of waiting is over... Just got a call from my musikstore, they where gonna get my G2X delivered today and ready for me to pick up on my way home from work.

Happy! Christmas came early this year

Thank you guys, it is truley an beuatiful instrument. Spent yesterday evening and most of the night trying out the patches and making my first own (rilly, rilly basic) patches.

I'm really looking forward to digging deeper into this stuff.
