Hey all,

I've been quiet here, but I have been busy and some patching has been going on and knob assignments, etc... in preparation for the Crazy 8's [08/08/08] burnbc.com party.

I played it last night for the 1st time. It was all brand new stuff, not event a few hours old ... it was fun... good experience ....

[EDIT] Here is a recording I did of a recent practise of this new set
http://soundcloud.com/dasz/love-haagen-performance-dasz-shaw-ca

The blog for it is here:
http://www.livepa.org/board/topic-3429.html

Aaaaannd now, I just ordered a x0xb0x kit. I cannot contain myself !!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, yes, I will modify the Operating system to meet my needs, and yes, the x0xb0x will be tightly integrated with at least one G2 keyboard and ....

Beginning to chill ...

Congrats Dasz. I was on the waiting list for a while but got impatient and picked up a used Future-Retro Revo (with wood end caps) instead. The remix feature is probably its greatest asset.

How do you like the Revolution? I'd like to get one some day. I'm not into acid lines, actually, but I like its design. How would it work in a non-acid context?

Hey Andy!

Gr8 to hear from you!

The story about this x0x0b0x kit (which got shipped today!!!) is a bit insteresting ... someone who could have got another one from lady ada, decided that my home would be more suitable ... which meant a great amazing surprise on my end ...

aaaand yes, I plan on doing the VCO out + VCF in mod, + res + bass modzzzzz

Thanks guys! I guess Karma (no pun intended) comes around and evens life out ....

Dasz is grinning big time ... now I have to figure out how to get is assembled (I suck at soldering) .... but that is a moot point

Does that mean I'll be on the xoxbox forum like on em? probably not. it is just a box. and actually my activity here has been dwindling while I focus on my music and my life ...

Keep us updated with your progress, From what I can see the USB board is the bit that causes the most problems, is your USB already assembled?

Your laughing then!

Get it built quickly then, I am very interested in what sounds you can come up with it. I am sure they will be good.

as of yesterday, the kit has cleared canadian customs, so it should be here any day now ...

then the hard work will begin ... followed by bliss.

And more good news from ladyada ... looks promising ... more x0xb0x kits to come ...

http://www.ladyada.net/forums/topic-7109.html

#853 has not been assembled yet, due to the lack of time from my friend who's signed up to help put it together ...

it'll be done when it is meant to be

and now the x0xb0x assembly is 20% done, with some amazing work from Andrew Martens (on livepa.org). Now we have all the parts sorted, and sorted by module in zip lok bags, and the Power module, and 1/2 of the Osc module done. The x0x came alive with a buzz and we could change it's pitch ... coool ....

Now the only problem I could have with the Kit is the Kat. or Kit Kat. If the Kat eats any rare piece, the Kit and the Kat are in trouble.

Shoo... stay away from the big chips boy, they are not treats ... well, actually, they are... but for the ears ...
