Sorry to be dense but... what the heck is the SDS3?

I have been laying a bit low lately around here and have missed some stuff.

I am assuming a drum voice?? In which case I will want 4 for sure.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Are many people here going to use their PCBs to try to reproduce the original SDS3, with a mixer channel, etc?

wow, this is a much better response than I expected. sorry to drop off for a few days... trouble finding WI-FI while I was traveling...

we've got more than enough to move ahead.

the mixer is very straightforward, and i'd be happy to post a P'nP of it later...

For those that want to build a clone of the SDS3 box, while i am designing this to be patchable and flexible, there are going to be pads for the original switches and interconnections between the voices.

thanks for all the interest. i'll keep you guys updated with pics and samples(or problems and delays) as the testing gets going sometime next week.

The timing of this (all of the drum circuits that have come about lately) could be working out really well! Very Happy

I found out from my boss at work tonight, that he might be willing to sell his 3 Simmons drum pads (including a bass drum pad / pedal) and his 2 Roland drum pads. Should find out next week! Very Happy Custom pads I`ll build myself for my coming Liquid Hihats and I`d be all set!

Here`s to hoping I can get his set! Surprised Smile I haven`t had a kit for years and years. Sad

it would be great to have these original simmons pads for a complete set. i could get three of them from a friend, but eventually i decided to pass them because they are definetely not that good for your wrists. the "response" is equal to a concrete panel Shocked
