A good programming forum for OSX?

My specific problem is that I'd like to do a ChucK program that listens to several mice (which is possible, I've tried) and responds to their movements. I'm also thinking about responding to the mouse buttons, but as it works now, clicks will make things happen on the OSX desktop.

ChucK can read each individual mouse input, but the OS has all mice control the single mouse pointer. What I'd like to do is make some application (or find one if it already exists), that makes the OS ignore the input from a selection of mice, while allowing ChucK to read their values.

I haven't seen that many pure programming discussions (or OS tweaking) here, so I'm mainly asking if someone knows a good resource or forum where one can direct these kinds of questions? I checked the link section, and didn't find anything appropriate.

You can hide the system cursor with CGDisplayHideCursor(), and show it with CGDisplayShowCursor().

Then, you can use your mouse monitoring code to display your own multiple cursors as you see fit. This is how games that use multiple mice do it.

I don't think you can remove specific individual pointer devices from routing to the system cursor in OS X.

For a board to ask questions at, you want a games programming board since many games do what you want. Also check out the open source ManyMouse library that abstracts some of this.

I guess a lot of games get around the system cursor by doing things in full screen mode, which might work in my case as well - though I'm not sure I want to go full screen.
