Hello.

I suppose this question has been answered explicitly somewhere on the forum, but I couldn't find it.

Can you cascade multiple audio delays on the G2 within a single patch for a longer total time than 2.7 secs?

I assume the answer is no, but I am interested in exactly how the G2 prevents you from doing this.

I am not a G2 owner, but am considering purchasing one largely for the purpose of processing vocals.

Thanks.

In a single patch there are two areas (voice and fx) you could use that to make 5.4 sec (using the audio buses).

It's also possible to do voice multiplexing ... it's causing headaches, but it would allow for longer delays in a single patch's voice area ... it has some limits as well, but it's been a while since I tried Very Happy

Oh and we have time multiplexing, how could I forget Very Happy

You can cascade 4 delays for a total of 10.8 seconds of delay using 2 patchs. I've used a 3rd patch in the attached file because I was trying to add more delay but the G2 said no so I just added some chorus.
What is patch multiplexing and can I use the method in the attached patch with time multiplexing to get a delay of 21.6 seconds?

Welcome Handle,

voice multiplexing you mean? Hmm, it's a long time ago since I experimented with that ... the idea was that one delay gets two when the voice count goes from 1 to 2 ... but it needs a way to get sound from one voice to the other ... I forgot how I did that .... probably by routing to the FX area through a demultiplexer set by the voice nr output of the in/out/stat module & then back to the poly area, erm VA I mean ... something like that anyway Wink
