NO! i will do two boards (if there is enough interest).
the 1st board will be the PS3100 resonators board with some little enhancements/modifications, i.e. connectors to interface with the panner board.
the 2nd board will be the stereo panning/fading module, containing the 4 VCAs.
so one could build each PCB as a standalone module, or both in one (as i currently do - i am just waiting for some backordered parts, which should arrive tomorrow - hopefully the module will be up and running on weekend).

Fonik,
That's fantastic, I'm glad to hear this. I'd be very interested in at least a couple Panner boards-- like your Attentuvertor, this will be very useful in a number of contexts.
Are you thinking of a Vactrol Panner? |

you might want to take a look at my site for the documentation of the last PCB:

no. i already built and tested a PCB containing 4 simple transistor based VCAs. it's a simplified version of an old EN design, without any trimmers, but sufficient for the pan effect, IMHO. here you can see the old PS3100 together wth the panfader under test:
the layout:

I like that idea and I would buy a PCB of each. |

I think I've already said it but would definitely buy at least 1 of each board, possibly a pair of each. |

Just posting to add my voice - I would certainly be interested in one of each of the PCBs. Thank you for your hard work and brilliant designs fonik! |

I know I'm jumping the gun, but, I'd like 3 Panner PCBs, and depending on price, maybe more. |

I'm going to chime in for 1 resonator and 2 panner PCB boards.

just wanted to keep you posted. i finished the module tonight (resonators + panfader) and hooked it up.
everything's working, except the 3rd resonator. i measured some resistances and i found at least a faulty potentiometer. if this is the only problem, i will replace the potentiometer and post the first sound samples later this week. (oh, and the LEDs are off - did i really reverse them? )
@camelneck: if you are fine with that, i will ask the moderators if they could hand this thread over to me. this way we would not have to start a new thread... _________________

Could try a kludge ... your post is the 2nd one ... so when I remove the one before made by camelneck it would be "your" thread ... of course I could copy the post that's now 1st into the now 2nd ... or I could split after the 1st post and addd acouple of links here & there .... things like that. When all involved would be OK with it, that is. _________________ Jan

i think that would be just fine. the first post does actually not contain information, but is the initial request that started the story.
it would be great if you could do this. thank you for your efforts, jan. _________________

As the author of the first post of this thread, you guys (Jan and Matthias) have my permission to move it wherever is most convenient. You can move it so it is the 2nd post, the last post, on a different page, or even delete it if you wish.
Since I made the initial inquiry/request about the possibility of another production run of PS-3100 Resonator PCB's, I wanted to take a moment and thank Matthias for all of his hard work and effort. I'm very greatful for his decision to honor (and exceed) my original request.
Matthias,
I really appreciate all of the time and effort that you have spent on this project. IMHO, the additions and the improvements that you have made to this latest revision was definitely time that was well spent. Overall, this is definitely one of the best designs, as well as one of the most flexible designs, that I've ever seen. I'm sure that many others agree.
Although you were understandably concerned about the additional cost involved with a 2 PCB design, your final decision to use 2 PCB's is probably more economical since many people plan to buy multiple sets or multiple PCB's. One set can be used as a a "Stereo PS-3100 Resonator Module with LFO", while another set can be split up with the 1st PCB used in a "Mono PS-3100 Resonator Module with LFO" and the 2nd PCB used in a "VC Panner Module", a "VC Stereo Fader Module", or a "Stereo Panner/Fader" Module."
------------------------------
Well, I'm really anxious to hear some of Matthias' "soon-to-be posted" samples, and, like everyone else, receive my own set of PCBs. This is one module that I plan to use extensively. So thanks again Matthias for a job well done!

The Panner PCB can also be configured as a 'fader'? As is x-fader/cross-fader?
Is this so Fonik? |

Is this so Fonik? |
it is a fader and a panner at the same time. why? just because it does x-pan/x-fade: the left input is at the left output, while the right input is at the right output. then you x-fade/x-pan it until left in is at right out, and right in at right out. so the left output shows the left input first and then fades to the right input signal. looking at it the other way around the left input signal is first at the left output and then at the right output.
clear as mud: looking at two inputs but one output it is a fader, looking at one input but two outputs it is a panner. _________________
