The forum was up at the time I received the email.
It's also up now. I don't know if it was down between those times. |

It's hard for me to believe that someone else won't pick up USA distribution. |

But, it has been suggested at least a couple of times that Clavia was reluctant to supply products to the US because of adverse exchange rates.....
Like ark, I think that the US market is too large for Clavia to ignore. _________________ varice |

| I know that I contacted Nord's Canadian distributor, who told me that as far as they knew it was business as usual and they had just received a shipment. |

no warranty Subject description: warranty says contact the distrubutor, they're out of it now |

I haven't heard from anyone I've emailed Nord, went to the store I bought my electro2 from in August and they are calling around trying to find some answers for who to contact for warranty, but so far no answers. No service. Last Nord I'll buy.
I wonder if the store will want to keep selling Nord when it causes them so much headache. |

Though your mail isn't On Topic, it has some problems incommon.
I think you have to contact the distributor for any support. I think that would be Armadillo...?

| I would second that. If you bought a product that Armadillo distributed, you effectively have a contract with Armadillo to provide warranty service. If Armadillo terminates its relationship with Nord, I don't see why that should have any effect on Armadillo's obligations to you. |

Not sure how that normally goes in the states, but in Australia it often means end of support. I have actually lost a few pieces of equipment in support limbo like this, never to be recovered, and shipping costs can be astronimical.
These days, I will nearly always service my own equipment. _________________ Good good study, day day up! |

The new distributor has already been named. It is discussed here:
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-31289.html
The retail store where the instrument was purchased should handle the arrangement for warranty service. Clavia and the new distributor would be responsible for setting up a new service center if necessary. _________________ varice |
