Hi,

I've not owned a G1, but my impression was that the G2 has a slightly different character, even on a very similar patch.

I had thought the G1 capable of achieving slightly harsher tonal character, and perhaps a little more analogue sounding?

Anyway, I've not had my G2 making quite those kinds of sound in the audio posted. Of course, they may have the benefit of external effects.

Any thoughts?

Hmm maybe you are right Ali! I have a nord lead 2 also and their sound is warmer than g2...maybe i dont know how to make a decent warm routing on g2 but i think the nord lead 2 is closer to Nord g1.(maybe they have the same d/a conv)who knows!

Im thoutht that g2 could make these type of sound but maybee no,so im looking forward to find the original modular then:(

Hi mario,

I am probably about the least experienced G2 user on this forum, so don't take my word for it. I was really meaning to pose the question, as it is something I had wondered for a while.

Some of the members here have a lot of experience with both generations of Nord Modulars, and would no doubt have a more informed opinion than my own.

Are you sure all these sounds were made with a Nord Modular? Are you trying to make similar sounds? Probably your Lead can do a good job of those sounds.

You could get the G2 Demo and the NM->G2 converter and just see where you get with it.
