Awesome, Denis. Was this a "hands off" recording? Not that it matters, I'm just curious.

Cool Howard, we'll be on the radio!

Now that I think of it, my entry wasn't that good. It was soft and a poor example of the Generator's capabilities, plus I have since improved the program. I think I will make a new album entry. Rules? What rules?

That should fit now, but please note that that there is an individual file limit of 14 MB as well.

As we speak, we are working on getting some FTP upload capability to handle larger files. We should have something relatively soon.

Can I still join in? Smile

I like simple things, so here's something so simple some (or most) might find it a bit boring. I enjoy listening to slowly repeating sounds that drift in and out of sync. I often hear this in church bells. So here is a droning thing called cherchbellz, which is six identical "bellz" being struck by lfos that are randomized slightly, but synch against each other every now and then. In the picture you can see such an lfo in blue, with the red and purple making up the two variations of sound generating thingies (total four purple and two red).

The tones stay the same, but the timing changes, something that I personally find a bit hypnotic. drunken

/Stefan

Is it time to vote yet? Are all the submissions in?

What about collecting the songs into a single zip file, should I do this now?

You tell me! Very Happy

I suggest not a zip file, but let's make an on-demand playlist on radio.electro-music.com. Then as new submissions arrive, we can add them. If people have long files, like bigger than 10 MB, they can PM me and I'll arrange to give them a special FTP account for uploading.

Sounds great Howard! It would be good to set things up so that stream operators can do this task for you, instead of you having to do all the work. Is that possible without too much trouble?

At the moment, it is very difficult for the stream operators to do anything. It is a lot of work for me to write code for them to do so. Therefore, the easiest thing for me is just to do it.

Ah, well, such is the burden of responsibility, eh?

I know from experience that automating something can be much more difficult than just doing it once or even a few times.

I would prefer that people post the mp3s of the noodles here. That makes it relatively easy to put up on the streaming radio.

They should be 128 kbs stereo. That is important.

Here's a couple recent noodles. Hardware, one pass, hands off except for a fade at the end. The mp3s are just a little over 128 kbs so before I upload files let me know if you want them and if so, whether you need them resampled or not.

Posting as attachments is what I meant. Then they are in the database and that makes playing them on the radio channel easier. Otherwise I have do download the files and put them somewhere where they are disconnected from the threads.

That said, these are nice. Smile

They are Variable Bit Rate actually (VBR) ... for the radio thes would have to be re-encoded as 128 kbps, 44100 Hz Stereo in Constant Bit Rate (CBR) mp3 format.

They sound fine though!
