a new 700$ klee is running on Earth, after 10 months designing and building.
i've get ruined but i'm quite happy.
I had muse triadex on mind...
here is my first sample :

1-
I've put 6/12 reload switch ; i've add two 1n4148 diodes to prevent reload from GATE BUS 1 OR 3 (in some circumstances).

2-
I've added an OFFSET potentiometer for A+B output.

3-
for transposing both A & B CV sums, I've added two 0,1% resistors and two jack sockets (labelled EXTERNAL/KYBD IN). It affects A+B sum.

4-
i'll add stage outputs and another LED row just above (just for fun)

i'll add the right part of this schematic.
BC547 for LED driving and output.

http://www.analog-synth.de/synths/mod2/trigdiv/trigdiv.htm

5-
i've added two diode combiners, passive "gate mixer" (1n4148 and 100k) to create additionnal triggering patterns.

6-
i will wire a switch for A-B "sum"

7-
i will wire another INVERT switch to invert A+B output ; in order to get -A-B or B-A

8-
i've added VARIABLE/EXTERNAL RANGE option.

9-
I'll add three green leds for A, B and A+B cv sums. through it only shows positive excursion...

10-
i've put a piece of black thin feld between sliders and panel to prevent dust Very Happy

http://sslstudiodesign.free.fr/AUDIO/

here you can enjoy transposing two voices controlled by A and B outputs ; transposing A, then B then A then B...
btw, there's a bug in tempo as i change MIDI channel (shitty AN1x midi synth)
This is great to explore new lands and taste other flavours from a given patch ; this is the same patch setting as the first sample above.

Thank you all !
for designing,
for testing,
for pcb
for part kit.

thank you fonik for your anwsome Schaeffer design.
I've understood i have to thank BlueHell for INV B ; because that fuction rocks. It is use here.

PS : i've planned a lot a jack sockets on the klee rear side (midi clock input, maybe offset inputs on A and B that doesn't affect A+B, surely one glide input for separate use, and some midi parameter, normalised to variable range or random socket...)

:WOW:
looks awesome. very nice desktop cabinet. and a lot of features you added - makes me thinking about when to build my second klee (PCBs in the drawer already).

Geez, I had enough trouble wiring the panel in the first place. If I was going to do it again i'd think about trying all those mods you've done. It is very impressive, thought provoking, and makes me wish I had waited until you built yours before I built mine. That said, I still like mine and using outboard equipment to compliment the Klee I am getting a number of good things done. But that's one beautiful build.

If you can't put one 1U extension panel under your klee, most of the cool features can be added on jack socket, on rear panel.

* Transpose A and B (these inputs have to be carefully NC connected to ground when not used)
* maybe not a potentiometer but also an offset input socket for A+B output (bipolar)
* A-B and B-A optionnal outputs on socket too.
* Midi beat clock, converted through midi->cv converter, connected to NC of frontpanel CLOCK INPUT. You press play, your klee runs at the right tempo.

Me...very provoking... i have too much switches on front panel Smile
I've worked for eight months on this panel layout, but i've understood too late that CLOCK ENABLE and SHIFT ACTIVE was the same thing...clock shifts registers...
now I have a weird SHIFT switch with no function...

I guess I have one solution so this switch would still run the sequence.
(but it can be done with a normalized socket...)

Otherwise, not bothering with serigraphy, i've wonder if I could put another mod behind :
- it could boost (gain x2 or x3) A and B outputs, as in lower ranges, they seem pretty weak individualy, with minimal patterns.
It would be cool for real effective crossfading effects.
- or put an offset (-5V) to make glide or optionnal outputs roughly bipolar.
- or, it could switch that +10V supply i've routed to A+B OFFSET potentiometer, for one of the GATE BUS outputs...that would be shifting too ! Very Happy

hmm, for sure there is one option missing, but i'm too shy and i would not dare trying to make the klee runs backwards.

At least, Schaeffer is real expensive but you can print cool patchsheet from their software. Here is the setting used for the samples above.

For REVERSE mode, I've understood I have to pull-off one big IC from its socket ; then plug a add-on board instead. I 'm afraid the socket i've put will suffer from this a bit.

Can i unsolder 24pin socket easily ?
Put some 2,54 connectors with cables to another additionnal board ?

Cool

Hi !

Unless I've made something wrong somewhere else, I had to swap TP01 and TP02 ; so now sliders on pattern A go positive, and the ones on B go negative on A-B output.

i've forgot my first electonic lessons and wonder if A has to go to +input in order to get A-B with this circuit (which seems logic)

Very Happy

I'm glad I have bought a part kit from EM.com ; I've plugged and unplugged all those 2,54 headers about twenty times and bought some more for the additionnal board :

Yes sir, that's what a Klee looks like from the back!!!

I am thinking about trying some of your modifications, certainly the diode combiners for gates and output transpose. I could put another 1U over the top of the thing before I actually finish the case (I've been meaning to do that..)
