Rykhaard, funny story. When I was in college I bought a stick full of some type of chip, I forget what they were as it was long ago. None of them worked, so I called DigiKey and told them they sent me a bunch of bad chips. The sales rep was very pleasant and said something like: "Are you SURE that the chips are bad, because that is highly unlikely?". I was certain they were, so without a second question she sent me another batch of chips.

Long story short, I soon discovered that in my college newbiness I had somehow messed up the pin count and was reversing power on the dang chips! Of course we all know that's the kiss of death for a chip. I felt so stoopid, but they had treated me right and now they have a customer for life...

Surprised Now, I know that were back in the good ol' days but still! That, was very very cool! I've always liked them for their speed. Smile I've never had a delay from them and always have gotten what I wanted, over my past 3 1/2 years of ordering.
1 of the few things that I haven't been able to find from them (confirmed again a few minutes ago in the catalog) is L brackets for mounting my PCBs to my panels. (I'd bought 100 of them in the mid 90's and have recently run out.)

Well - my brain kicked in again thankfully and I remembered that the fastener company Spaenaur is located here in town. Going to their website / reading their history, I found that they were BORN here in this small city - 115,000 sq. ft. main warehouse is 10 minutes away from where I live - and THEY make my L-bracket! Woo hoo. Very Happy Happy as can be, in that regard.
I've been searching for them on / off for almost a year (from an easy to get from place.) Finally. Very Happy

Ok. Enough happy happy. Wink
