I'm borrowing this Electribe from my son indefinitely, and I am having a blast with it. These Electribes are fantastic. I don't know why I have ignored their existence for so long. They make beats, but also great ambient atmosphere as well. Anybody else here been using them at all?

I use mine mostly for drums and percussion. I like the way you can tweak samples easily using the nicely laid out knobs. What technique do you use for creating ambient atmospheres?

I've got an EM-1, the precursor to the EMX-1. I'd love to upgrade to an EMX-1 or ESX-1. Fab tools/ toys! Very Happy

No technique, really. I just tweak the ESX-1 until it sounds the way I want it. Sometimes I will go back a few days later and edit the track further. I like using the S&H to modulate pitch or pan. I usually change the pitch on most samples I use.

I've got an ER-1, the modelling drum machine, its 4 modelled drum parts can be used for all sorts of interesting sounds, not just standard electronic drums, and the sequencer is great for real time edits to parts.
