Back in April Synthmonger announced that he would be selling his CMOS triple resonator PCBs in the Lunetta forum. I didn't know much about him, but decided that for $20 bucks, it would be worth taking a chance. Three weeks after paying him, I hadn't received the PCB and the shipping status in Google Checkout was still "not shipped". I contacted him, and he told me that he'd send the board, plus an extra PCB for my troubles.

Well, it's two weeks later and I'm still waiting. I just want people to think twice before sending him any funds. If I've lost the $20, so be it, but I'm not going to be quiet about it. I've had many positive transactions with other synth diyers via electro-music, and will do what I can to keep the lame sellers away.

Romeo

[editor's note: silly but I changed the subject of this post and the little emoticon since this has all be resolved]

Hi Romeo,

I'm sorry I didn't respond to your email earlier before you had to post this.

I had trouble originally with the boards like I said. I made two batches each with a simple error, I should've shipped you one from the 2nd batch since it was just a simple side-by-side pin switch mistake but I really wanted to have a nice clean cut board with no mistakes.

I've bought, traded and sold goods with quite a few people on the board and I'm sure they can say all positive things about me. I have not had any negative feedback from anyone on the board. There was one problem due to a tracking number updating way to late (some 5 hours later from the moment I shipped it) but that was resolved and everything is fine now.

This is just a rare case that won't happen again. Thankfully I'm going into work late today so I can ship them off before I head there. Expect a tracking # in a few hours.

Sorry for any stress I've caused you.

I'll vouch for synthmonger- he sold me some pcb's & parts a while ago, and actually sent the goods while my money order was in transit to him.
They arrived immaculately packed & in perfect condition.

update: This morning I received a shipping notification and tracking number from Synthmonger. I'm sorry that I had to resort to douche tactics, but I tend to get on edge when I feel like I'm being jerked around.

Synthmonger is a good guy. He is a very very big supporter of electro-music.com since the very early days. Without his support in those days, we might not be here now.

You never know how good a supplier is until you have a problem, Looks like Synthmonger came through and resolved the issue.

I have em on my etsy site Here http://synthmonger.etsy.com

I just made a bunch this weekend so they're all good to go. I'm coming up to Orlando June 9th and 10th for the Animal Collective show. I can bring one then and we can talk synth! Wink

Romeo, I'm glad you've had your issue with Synthmonger resolved. But as it stands, I've really been left out in the cold by him.

While he seems like a very pleasant person, the fact is I paid $300 for a Delaymonger pedal in January of 2008 and have never received anything. Months went by without any communication, followed by him promising to send me my pedal in a few weeks. This was in late July of last year. After that my e-mails were not returned.

I really don't want to be a jerk about this, but I feel like I've been taken for a ride and will never see the pedal or my $300 again. All I want is my pedal or my money back. So please Synthmonger, have the decency to treat me with the respect you have Romeo and some others!

OK, I got the CMOS Resonator board today. Mark was kind enough to throw in one of his PWM boards as well. I appreciate that Mark did follow through, and included a peace offering.

I apologize for making this public. I've been burned in the past and am less patient as a result of that.

Just to update everyone: it looks like Synthmonger and myself are finally on the verge of resolving my grievance. He's agreed to ship me a pedal of comparable value by no later than June 12th. I'm very optimistic about resolving this, and will keep everyone informed with regards to the outcome of this situation.

Hey! Yeah if you get a chance. When I talk synth to my friends here their eyes glaze over and they die a little inside.
