Ambient Electronica - Free MP3 Downloads |
|
|
If you love richly-textured atmospheric electronica, there are currently two free mp3s on my site:
http://www.secondlanguage.co.uk
I recommend you try Korkaptilnian Thought Tapes first!
Also, click the flash-logos for some brief (lo-fi) ambient sounds.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

Hi Dan. I've tried a few times to give a listen, but clicking on the first track just gets me a '404' and while the second track starts to DL, it always stops after about 20 - 30 seconds of music. Too bad cuz I really liked what I heard in those few seconds. _________________ Que la musique sonne - Edgard Varese

404! I don't understand why you got that, I tested all my links on a few computers (and different browsers)!
Maybe it's the javascript causing trouble, I don't know... I'd better try and sort this out tonight, maybe I'll scrap the javascript.
Thanks for letting me know about that.
Maybe you can give it another go when I've sorted it? I'll post back. |

The links work for me, but I can't listen to them right now. I will later. Maybe there was a network or server glitch when Michael tried before... _________________ --Howard

Whoa. Not so fast. I tried again a few times last night & finally got Korkaptilnian Thought Tapes; Cool piece - like the liquid rhythms and the overall organic flow & feel - something not easily achieved with electronics.
Still get some Freeola ISP page when I try for Apahsia. Left click, right click doesn't matter. But I liked KTT so I'll keep trying.
But don't mess with your page! The java is fine - I really like the sonic insectoids .
I'm on copper wire out in the middle of nowhere. Maybe one of us had server problems. Maybe you've just got a lot of folks grabbing your tracks. Who knows. But I don't think my internet reality is a good litmus test.
Anyway, good music, nice page. Look forward to hearing more. . _________________ Que la musique sonne - Edgard Varese

OK, I won't mess with the java just yet! Although I am working on some more flash/audio type things and the page is due for some tweeking...
Thanks for taking the time to get Thought Tapes downloaded. I'm glad you enjoyed it after all that struggle.
Thanks to everyone else who downloaded the music! |

This was amazing. The thought tape track really made me want to create something new and innovative, and caused me pause
Simply wonderful music! |

Thanks for the feedback, I'm really pleased that people are enjoying the music.
Although it's not something I do with every track, I really love making drone ( and microtonal ) music. I'm into trance-inducing music, and I find subtly shifting drones really effective and absorbing.
I clearly need to sort out the link for Aphasia. I've just tested the link again, and it doesn't even work for me now! It worked the other day. What's going on? |

I just removed the javascript from all the download links, so hopefully there won't be any problems now. The page might need refreshing if it's in your browser cache though. I tested the downloads on my computer and they all downloaded cleanly and quickly. |
