Subject description: pot knobs for solid core shaft pots

Can someone point me somewhere online for knobs for potentiometers with a .25 inch solid core (not knurled) shaft diameter (similiar to the shaft shown)? i recently bought a big bag of these type pots and would like to find some knobs that fit!

I’ve looked in various online places and try as I might, I cannot find knobs for these type of pots…

the standard .25 diameter knobs are for knurled shaft and do not fit this type.

There are loads of knobs that should fit this type of shaft. Just look for grub screw or collet type fixing.

All of the MOTM style modulars normally use this type of pot and grub screw fixing, though you may have to be careful to avoid knobs for 6mm shafts, these won't fit.

Try Rapid, RS, Farnell and CPC for example.

If it says in the spec that they are grub screw, then I don't think you'll have any problems.

The best knobs for this kind of shaft are the collet type, as these will always be centered on the shaft. The grub screw type are always slightly eccentric (as there has to be some play for the shaft to fit into the knob). Not a major difference, it just depends on how precise you want to be.

You pays your money and makes your choice methinks!
