I asked over at the CGS yahoo group, but thought it might be helpful here as well.

I want to recreate something similar the DUSG panel - http://www.serge-fans.com/m-class-quad-slope.cfm

using a switch to route CV to the RISE/FALL/BOTH inputs (through the CV attenuating pot).

it seems trivial, but i cant seem to understand how to do this. Anybody else doing the same thing and can help explain the wiring?

Thanks,
Ryan

don't think you will able to do it for 3 modes ,u can only for 2 modes in any combination (look pic with CGS75 shematic)

on the DSG the circuitry is a bit different (look pic of a SSG)

Yeah, the picture you drew looks exactly like what i have in my head, but obviously its not going to get me the both input.

There has to be a way, no? or maybe i am making it more simple than it really is.

Maybe i will just have to go with the two modes (rise/fall) for now.

Using this C&K 7211 switch it will work with one switch:

Or use a rotary switch.

As it's a DPDT on-on-on, the switched work as in the diagrams. (see attachment)

If you wire the switch by connecting the center-lugs together and connecting them to the input, you get all three options (option 1, both, option 2).

That's a very cool switch. But I made a mistake Sad it's actually better then the switch above:

This schematic will work in our case Very Happy (thanks to Scott Stites for the schematic)
We really should do a group buy for this switch.

Did you try wiring it so the switch with center lugg to ground and then to the SWF and SWR pads?

let me try to understand this method..........

if CV is going into the "both" pad and the switch is the "rise" position.....it will pull the "fall" side down to ground and CV will only go to "rise". and vice versa for the opposite switch position.

If the switch is in the middle position, cv goes to both rise and fall.

I may try this first....it seems the easiest way to do it. your schematic there cleared up your earlier explanation a bit.

Thanks,
Ryan

how about a dp3t switch like these http://nl.mouser.com/ProductDetail/NKK-Switches/M2044SS1W01-RO/?qs=0RDYWt4CO4cDlqBsU8HyKw%3d%3d

if I got it right it switches between 3 different pairs of contacts...

that nkk is pretty expensive though.
