FKY
unlike a physical concert... there is no gear to move, or staging to set up between acts. It takes less than one minute to switch between performers.

So, each performer is essentially given 29 minutes to play. Because this is an international event, we have to adhere closely to the schedule... so it is crucial that each artist be on time in the chatroom at least 60 minutes before their set. Of course, we would hope that musicians/listeners will hang out for the entire event. Very Happy

A quick sound/streaming check will be done for each performer during the set preceding.
This check entails that the musician(s) are connected to our server, audio is present, volume levels are sufficient, and overall "quality" of the stream/audio mix sounds good.

This sound/streaming check will not cover EQ, Compression, EFX, etc. The shape of the sounds are entirely up to the performers.

Wow, shaping up real nice !!! Thanks Shane for putting myself and NEOREV back to back Cool

Of course I will be available for switching duties. Thus far, radio op duties are Jan, Shane, and myself? If so, were you whipping up the stream op schedule? If I am wrong, then please correct me. Very Happy I will assume for now we will be using the usual interface for switching? Sorry for all the questions .... Embarassed I knwo there was talk in private Stream-Op's sub-forum about using a different interface.

This will be fun !!!

Bill

I've decided to play something a little bit upbeat and active to kind of wake folks up before Howard's final message and performance. Something cheerful, sort of a pick-me-up kind of show for all to enjoy...

Quick question.....

Will the event run as one complete broadcast show, tuning in to E M radio once or will we have to re-tune in per artist start time, with a few "please stand by's" as we do on a friday night where 3 shows run together ???

For now, the streaming event will run like it does on Friday's but for 12 hours instead of 4. So, you will get those PSB's Wink

Howard has been working hard to change this but ran into some technical issues with some trans-coding software he has been working with. I am optimistic that by winter, shows will be more "fluid" with no, or very little, gaps between performances.

I've modified the posters to take account of the change in running order

I replaced the ones I uploaded originally, but the forum software seems to have changed the names, so any links will now be broken Sad

If anyone has posted any elsewhere linking directly back to the forum the links will need updating

Jez,

I noticed an odd horizontal line on http://electro-music.com/forum/phpbb-files/emautumnalequinox09_01_139.jpg wasn't sure if it was intentional or got corrupted.

Thanks,
J

Not sure if the event is full yet or not. We always try to accommodate, though it is getting a bit down to the wire so we need to see what the schedule is like and check with the others. Since you haven't streamed before you also would need to be prepared to test this in advance as well with us in the chat room.

Cheers,
Jason

Greetings Ganzha!

Its been a while since I last heard from you! Hope things are well in Kazakstan. Wink

We are currently at full capacity on performances.

You are first on the list of alternates at this time. There is always a strong possibility that someone will not be able to play for whatever reason.

So, there is a potential likelihood that we can squeeze you in!

I would appreciate it if you could confirm your available time in GMT calculated by yourself, in order to avoid any problems or errors with timing, time zones. Very Happy

Calling all streamers that have not tested their connection.
Please do so ahead of time and not wait until the last minute.
