Just one question...
On the wiring diagram there are two level pots , is it the same pot but just doubled wired ?
The bad thing about this module it's that I'm starting to full my cabinet and I want to build a lot of modules more
Great work Yves _________________ http://www.corsynth.com |

Thanks for your fast reply , Will be on my "things to do" list . By the way i also saw the modular synth that is selling on Ebay ( you make a comment on the matrixsynth ). I was cehcking the wesite also and at least the front panels are copies of your designs I think that they should said something that is based on your designs. _________________ http://www.corsynth.com |

From what I saw on their site the PCB have been slightly redesigned : same drawing but spread over a large PCB.
I agree they could have mentioned that it is based on the yusynth design. _________________ Yves |

Yes it is quite an easy project to build, it works straight away !
Have fun with it.

Hi Yvves,
On your Quadrature LFO page you mention Shepard tone generation with 4 VCOs.
Is it as simple as sending the phase outputs to 4 VCOs that are octaves apart?
I believe you need two of the VCOs amplitude being controlled by a sawtooth oscillator that has 0 and 180 degree outputs. It would also need to run at twice the frequency. I assume you would need that kind of setup to make the transition between pitch smooth. _________________ Youtube!

I gave a clue of a possible use of the Quad-VCLFO, then one has to dig things up by oneself.
With four sinewaves you have only one part of what is required for true shepard tone generation, but nevertheless one can already obtain some fun effects with the sinewaves only. _________________ Yves |

Ah! I wasn't sure if it was as easy as plugging them into 4 VCOs octaves apart. I did some googling then found out what you needed exactly and while it is simple you do need a lot more than what I originally thought.
Thanks for clarifying Yvves _________________ Youtube!

Mind sharing a link(s) to what you found?
Thanks.

I did some "simulations" in ableton like the guy did in his youtube demos. It's fun to mess around with and get a feel for it. Though I barely know the program and it probably could've taken me less time to build it on breadboard then figure out in Ableton.
The links on Yusynth's page about the Quadra VCLFO also work. _________________ Youtube!

It's tricky to do
I experimented a bit with my modular but the imprecision of the dual gang pots and the least bit of tracking errors in the VCO's ruins the effect. |

UPDATE
I have corrected the wiring diagram where the connections of the dual gang pot were mixed up. Now it is fine _________________ Yves |

Has anyone done a run of PCBs for this? (Any bridechamber plans for PCBs and panels?) |

Scott Deyo did not express interest for this module, I will ask him if he is interested. _________________ Yves |

Can you confirm if there a 3 or 4 wire links in the design?. There are 4 in the diagram but the text says 3 |

I have connected all 4 and all is good.
I have adapted the original design for eurorack 12v. (no modifications!)
Because the board is so long i used photoshop to cut the design in half and placed each half next to each other. And then re connected the breaks.
I also added solder pads for the pots so i could mount the board easily.
Thank you so much Yves for sharing. This is my second yusynth module and i have already made a clock divider pcb.
