Hi Luka,

When I got the popup, at the very bottom of it dead center was the word "Close" in tiny letters. I clicked it and it went away.

Nice build job, dane1234! Cool

I'm very happy with this little Curetronic system, though the panels obviously leave a lot to be desired. The shipment from Matthias contained prepopulated PCBs (worked without a hitch except the MIDI module that I'm troubleshooting at the moment - may well be something that I've done wrong) and the cabinet, so all I had to do was find some knobs, make some panels and solder and mount the knobs, jacks etc. I should probably have gotten something sturdier than the 1.5 mm aluminium sheet I found, but I think it will work ok for me - I'm gentle and I don't plan on moving it about a lot.

/Stefan

Found this pic of my PAiA modular. It dates from 1981 when I was 18 years old. It was my first synth but unfortunately it no longer exists.

anyway, here's an update from the 12th root.

Thats some serious spaceship instrumentation there. The stand for that behemoth looks like its from the ST:TNG holodeck.

This is as close as I can come to a modular for now...my lowly eunich modusonics 921a Osc driver with no Osc or power supply. haha. Soon...

You're setup looks sweet.

Do you have a Rhythmicon by any chance?

I'm done with all 4 of my Serge style modules. Here's 3 of them. The 4th panel is at a friends house atm. Since I can't really use it - need more patch cords! (I barely have enough for one panel! Embarassed need atleast 40 more! Banana systems are cord eaters...)

The one I posted a few pages back is gone! Smile

Thanks for the welcome. What a cool and well organized forum.

No Rhythmicon unfortunately, though I wish there were schematics available so I could comission someone to build it for me!

First post... some of you I know already, and I'm sure I'd like to get to know the rest of you. Here are a couple of (rather poor) photos of some of my synths...

As you can see, the Big Fella has a few blank panels and empty slots to accommodate some stuff I have on the way or need to get around to building

Close up of the nice work Analogics did on my Mini (and the Prophet-5, peeking out from underneath):

Thanks for the welcome, seraph. Yep, that's a Dalek... he keeps an eye on things for me. I had the Mini and P5 both restored by Wes Taggart of Analogics. The cases were in bad shape, so I had Wes put them in his nice curly maple cabinets. He does terrific work!

Scot, welcome to electro-music.com!

Very pretty, that curly maple. It certainly changes the look. Also that Mini looks beautifully restored.

Thanks, EdisonRex. The maple cabinets combine nicely with the black panels, I think. I thought long and hard about going with the "non-traditional" finishes, but I am glad I did. They brighten up my studio (and it needs it. Gloomy place with those red walls! I must have been in a real mood when I picked out the paint for the control room... Twisted Evil )

I see you have some of my handiwork in your avatar (I screenprinted the Wretch machine panels in my basement).

I never knew who did Eric's silkscreens. Nice job, I'm quite fond of my Wretch. Wink

I only did the Wretch Machine. It was a heckuva difficult print to work out, but I am quite pleased with the way it turned out.

Yeah.. the look "poor", alright. Shocked

Nice to see you around here, Scott. I don't think I'd seen a picture of your modular before. Very nice.
