Looking for a Klee Builder |
|
|
Hi all! I frequent the muff wiggler forum but I figured elctro-music would be a wise place to post this request.
I'm purchasing a klee kit from a fellow muff wiggler forum member (seen here > http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/topic-9612.html)
I need someone to build for me. I can provide references if needed. Thanks!!

I have built 3 of these for folks. The panel I utilize of the One from Bridechamber which is a MOTM form factor. The pictures are a sample of two I built for a client in the Midwest. PM your needs and maybe we can strike a deal. I have references for my work as well.

The third board is a feature to add a synchronous manual load function. Normally when you press the MANUAL LOAD pushbutton, the pattern loads immediately, asynchronously to any incoming clock. This circuit adds the option to manually load a pattern synchronous with the CLOCK input.

That sounds fun. Did you get the boards made? I can't seem to find anything on EM. Would this be something easily breadboarded? Like to give it a shot. Also, your wiring is amazing. |

Thanks !! I have attached a document that I wrote explaining the mod in detail. I have also attached the HEX file for the small PIC chip.
If you don;t have a means of programming the IC, I can send you one if you would like to try the mod for yourself.

Why not attach an optical or mechanical relay in series with the load button and trigger it by a pulse from clock-divided signal? That way it could load every 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. division of the clock? _________________ Sneak-Thief - raw electrofunk |

What is strange is that the topic - "Add a Synchronous Manual Load to the Klee" - has been deleted from the forum. In that thread, Bill explained how his synchronous load mod worked, and I posted another possible method of doing it using one chip of discrete logic (CD4053) - less complex (or programmable) than Bill's - but more modding intensive.
Since it's gone, I'll post it again now - including the altered schematic and photos of the added circuitry, the modded digital board, and the added toggle (and LEDs) on the front panel.
