Rob,

I would like to play around with making the Oscillators a lot slower on the Benjolin. How would I do that ? I don't see the normal resistor/capacitor timing circuit on the board. What I would like to have is a switch to change between the current pitch range and then one much slower. So is it something as simple as changing a resistor/capacitor or pot value?

Thanks,
David

There are two 1nF timing capacitors (green or grey plastic types). Simply connect two wires at the underside of the board to these caps and have a switch and a cap of e.g. 33nF in series connected at the other end of the wires. The caps are easy to recognize, they are lined up right next to the TL074 opamp chips. 33nF would push the oscillators five octaves down and should slow the oscs to a minimum frequency of at least 30 minutes a cycle.

The timing circuits in the oscs are actually integrating opamps that are current driven by the gain cells in the SSM2164.

Great! I'll give that a try.

Thanks
