I've seen this posted before but can't find it. Anyway...

I've had my A6 for two years now and have never had a problem with it. Over the last month I haven't used it very much because I've been spending a lot of time with my modular. I turned it on for the first time in several weeks last night and noticed that the knob parameters have become very jittery and move on their own. For example I was adjusting the croute for the mod wheel and when I let go of the knob the value for that parameter kept jumping around at random for several seconds until I turned the knob again. What causes this?

It might be nothing more than a loose ribbon connector... See this thread.

That's worth looking into but this keyboard has been sitting in the same spot for two years. It hasn't been moved at all.

It could be a loose ribbon cable but my first guess is that it's probably dust. I have the same problem, got in contact with a technician in another city and he told me that most of the times it's dust sneaking inside and causing all this weird behavior. I will have mine serviced once I move there..

I think it was dust. After twisting all the knobs a bunch of times it stopped doing it. Is there a way to clean encoders?
