yeah, the 2040 are rare indeed Sad

but i need one to repair my emulator 2...

or i just rip the 7 working units out of it and redesign the emu for ssm2044, of which i also have a bunch of sitting on the shelf...
maybe not the baddest idea as the emu uses the 2040 just as lpf...
hmm...
worth thinking about...

but: i maybe would be interested in 1 or 2 envelope chips. those are the ssm2056, right? maybe they are cheaper than the cem3310 envelopes?

best wishes,

tobias

yeah, 2056. PM me. I have a few more than I need. I'd trade, if you have anything interesting. I'm looking for CA3080s and matched transistors, mostly, but let me know what you have that you have too many of, except the 2044s since I already have too many. Smile

Thanks B/Funk!

Edison I Pmed you.

About the resistors 1k PT146 (3500) , I found them here >

http://www.precisionresistor.com/ordera.asp

But the minium order is for 25 USD, so I must buy 9 or more, and I only need 2.

Is anyone interested in? I can buy it and after I can send tou you , of course, for the same price + shipment from Barcelona Spain. Paypal.

Hey I finally got mine built. Great great sounds. Compact power! And I've got another SSM2044 chip free for later use..

There were a couple of little mods I did which maybe have/have-not been mentioned before.

-- Inverting or non-inverting -- I chose to go for the inverting input due to the inverting buffer afterwards. Popped up a resistor and flew a wire across. I'm not sure what other people would think on this subject??

-- the other thing was the Freq pot -- I just noticed the comments above from Mathias - yeah, I found that I couldn't get a decent range originally (though I did wonder whether my 12v supply was the issue) so I cut the Freq pot's trace to ground and jumped in another 47k resistor down to v-. This definitely seems to have made things better.

Aceness! I want to do a souped up version for the 2nd SSM chip.

i just ammended the documentation to reflect the latest enhancement (R23 now 75 for wider CV2 range). for the cutoff freq potentiometer i recommend the alternate wiring as shown on the schematic.

Any chance of another run on these PCBS? I'm sitting on a few ICs that need a new modular home. Smile

actually not. however, it is a low part count circuit, you could easily build it on perf board, i believe.

I have an SSM2044 vcf pcb layed out. I am willing to do a run of this if enough interest is generated.

Here's a picture of it:
ssm version EuroRack PCN Rev3

It has (2) overdriven Audio inputs, an Fm bi polar input and regular CV input.

that's the way it is. however, the price will drop as soon as you decide to buy 10+, i believe.

I still have quite a few 2044s in my collection, along with 6 boards in mostly complete condition. PM me, I am more interested in a trade than a sale, but will sell too.

No, it is actually just one chip(MONO), I just silkscreened twice because once the chip is stuffed you can't see what chip is what on the pcb.

This has an Onboard PWR supply also (optional)

The IC's are:

SSM2044
TL074
(2)TL072
