Sorry, I misread your post! I took those previous readings from the wiper on the Sustain pot. These readings were taken from pin 6:

ADSR 1:
Before gate on = 0.0V
Gate on = 9.37V and starts falling
Gate off = 0.37V and starts falling

ADSR 2:
Before gate on = 0.1V
Gate on = 9.75V and starts falling
Gate off = continues falling as if I haven't stopped triggering the gate

OK thanks, can you check D2 (the diode at the top with the ring facing the power connector), check the 100 ohm resistor tha is in between the diode and the connector for the RELEASE pot, check with continuity tester that you have continuity between the leg of the D2 (cathode, ring) and the leg of the 100 ohm resistor in series then check the continuity between the other leg of the 100 ohm resistor and the RELEASE pot P3 (set to minimum resistance) lugs then check the continuity between pin 4 of the 7555 and the lugs of the RELEASE pot (set to minimum resistance).
If C4 does not discharge at RELEASE this means that the discharge circuit built around D2 , R13 , P3 and the collector of Q2 is somehow broken. It could be due to one or these components (D2,R13,P3) or a broken connection between these. Are you sure D2 is a 1N4148 ? It must no be a shottky diode !

I have continuity between D2 and the 100R resistor, continuity between pin 4 of the 7555 and the lugs of the RELEASE pot, BUT:

It looks like I have no continuity between the 100R resistor and the lugs of the RELEASE pot!


This must be it, I had problems with these Molex connectors as it was my first time using them. I'll sort it out and report back....

It works! Turns out it was the connection between the board and the RELEASE lugs. I've sorted the connection out and it all works perfectly now.

Sorry for upping the topic, but could you answer the question if one could use NE555 instead of 7555 in adsr (this topic came me to the idea that author used someone else instead of 7555)

Don't be sorry Wink
I strongly recommand using a CMOS version of the 555. Avoid using a NE555 in ADSR. The issue with the NE555 is that it can suck as much as 100mA during the trigerring phase. This has consequence such as interfering with others modules without being connected to them !
