Hey forum,

I am new to the circuit bending world. And I have a question. I picked up a bent Speak & Spell and I can't get any juice out of it. That is no lights, no sound.

I have tried new C batteries, adjusting the universal voltage on the adapter and several other things to no avail.

Any known issues with this?

Sad to say, but bending, is like some medical procedures. There are risks. The patient sometimes is unable to survive.

May want to consult with the bender, or seller.

While I second the comments that were already posted, check your switches. There may be an on/off (cut off) switch poking out somewhere that was wired on.

But ya...probably DOA Sad

all i can think is, look for any connections that are obviously broken or scratched off, and try to reconnect them.

Have you taken a DMM to it and see if there's at least juice getting to the unit from the batteries?
