Feedback |

What is your intended market for this music? If you are making it for yourself then you don't need feedback from me!
Having said that, I have often thought this Online Music section doesn't seem to get as many responses as I would expect - I don't know if that's because nobody reads it, or if people are reluctant to give critical feedback. I will break my "lurking" tendencies as you have specifically asked for feedback!
I first listened to this track back in Jan when you posted it. At the time, I was on holiday and surfing the EM forums on my mobile - I downloaded it straight to my handset, and there wasn't a great signal so it took ages (we were staying in the middle of nowhere!)
My initial reaction was "This is a joke, right?" - The reason I though this is because of the nature of your main "Giddy Up" sample - I hadn't given much attention to the track name, and my ears were blasted with what appeared to be the words "I'm a gay, I'm a gay" on infinite loop!
Now that you have requested feedback I listened to it again - I see now that the main sample is "Giddy Up", but hopefully you can see the similarity to my original mistake!
And now for the feedback...I was close to really liking this, but the main "giddy up" sample was just too harsh and repetitive for me to relax and enjoy it - I appreciate that it's not supposed to be relaxing music, but I don't think I could have had it playing in my car for too long without that main sample giving me a major headache! I found myself thinking that I would be enjoying the track a whole lot more without it.
Apart from that main sample, I liked it - The whole thing sounds fairly tight, everything seems in time with everything else, which is something I frequently struggle with so you've done well there.
Please take into consideration that I'm 36 and my clubbing days are well behind me. Your track could well be hitting the buttons for today's "youth" so don't be disheartened that it wasn't "my bag".
I look forward to hearing the next one!
