Here's the first show. This was on November 23.

Oh, they ended up as two hour shows.

In this show was Kevin Meredith of Lonely Robot Recordings, both as an interview and his movie Mus Excelsior. Dubathonic was next, then Earthgirl (interview and set from EM09), and then lastly, a piece from Steve Bowman and Art Cohen called Important Breather Holes.

Show 3 will feature Kurt Michaels, who as many will know has played the past 3 electro-music festivals. I'm spending a bit of time talking about Kurt and some of his anecdotes about his music, as well as his approach to experimental acoustic electro. The whole show will be Kurt's various works that he sent me.

Which is a hint - if you send me music, along with permission to play it, it will get played... Wink It does have to fit what we're trying to host here, but the electro-music festivals are good as benchmarks.

What was playing today (11 Jan)? That was nice. Early on was a piece reminiscent of Depeche Mode's "Precious".

11-Jan playlist was:

Epicyclus - set from EM Autumnal Equinox 2009
Epicyclus - set from EM New Year's Eve 2009/2010
Epicyclus - The Spokes of Saturn - Collision Course
Richard Lainhart - set from EM Summer Solstice 2009

Also a Klimchak ditty at the end

Rather than post the recordings of these shows in entirety I will go back and post the playlists, and any new pieces that aren't already in our archive.

Monday, 18 January 2010 will feature Klimchak, a composer based in Atlanta, GA. He played at the last electro-music 2009 festival, and has a very interesting and varied repertoire as well as good story.

22:00 on Monday, 18 January 2010.

Dear Edison-Rex,

I just wanted to tell you that I love your electronic reviews, and electro-music radio in general. I am relatively new to this community, but I am so happy to hear fresh releases from different electronic artists. It's been 10 years since I was listening to radio in Russia which had a station there that broadcasted fresh electronic music. In 2001 the radio station got shut down. Since then, I couldn't find anything even on internet to get good information and good independent music. Finally, this summer, after I started to write my own music for clarinet and electronics, I discovered this community. Now, every night I can fall asleep with some fresh, new and beautiful materials, produced by electronic and not only means!

Thank you so much, one more time!

Alexey
