I had a space left in my (small) modular and decided to add a YuSynth Steiner VCF. Built using a pair of BC547 transistors using the downloaded artwork, but with an additional pad added in MS-paint for the additional emitter connection.

I'm overwhelmed by the performance of the filter; it is highly responsive and musical, with a superb range of control. The resonance control doesn't reduce the volume when resonance is increased and retains the lower frequencies. Whilst I like my MiniMoog filter, this beats it hands-down for flexibility. Coupling the two in series, however, generates really interesting sounds that neither filter produces alone.

One departure form the original circuit that I made was to build it with three variable inputs. This consists of three 100k pots with 100k series resistors off the wipers - all connected together to the input of the circuit. No other component values needed to be altered. This gives me a very useful mixer input.

Overall very highly recommended.
