Hey everyone! I'm really suprised to see a PM-16 being mentioned!
A friend gave me one in 1990. I played with it a few times witrh a Very 'Dated' '80s Korg DDD-5...Even back in 1990 that Korg sounded really old!! I bought a an Alesis SR-16 a couple of weeks ago and thought it'd be fun to dig out the pads and PM16 and hook 'em up to the SR16. Well I can't get it to work properly at all. I can't remember a damn thing about setting-up the Pm16. I remember I used a Korg DDD-5with it and thats about it....

I get the little trigger flash near the screen to flash when I hit a pad....but no sound.....Any advise? I've checked all my chords etc, theyre fine....But I cant remember a damn thing about the patches or bulk memory dump or any of that stuff... Sad
Anyone have any advice, tips or whathaveyou?

Thanks guys!
-Mike

Do you need the manual? I used to have one and still have the pdf version.

You'll see the light flash when hitting a pad simply because it's picking up the 5V input. You'll need to map the MIDI notes for each sample on the SR-16 to each input on the PM-16.

I really liked the PM-16, but I just got too sucked into sequencers and stopped playing actual instruments. How sad Sad

My favorite samples to use were actually one Soundfont of an awesome drumset. So real! I can't remember who made it but they got the velocity levels just right!
