Hello

I am a french artist currently living in New York and I would need some kind of advices from you after having checked Chuck.

I'm looking for a way to synchronize a led sign and music. I am not sure Chuck could do it but otherwise would you mind giving me some leads ?
Basically, the installation will be based on two elements : a led sign displaying two counters on two lines : the counters will follow different rhythms.
I would like the music to be synchronized with the led sign : i mean that the rhythm of the led counters will lead the music and will give it the tempo.
Of course, the music will be programmed before so it s not playing random things ans of course i could just make both elements work separately and switch them on at the same time but a real dialogue would be much more interesting.

Maybe chuck won't be the right program, i don't know but if you have any idea or anyone i could get in touch with just please let me know.

this is my personal address : sarahderat@gmail.com

Sarah,

You may want to contact Randy George http://randygeorgemusic.com .

I have seen him do this kind of thing on stage. Tell him I sent you!

Hi Sarah and welcome to electro-music. There are probably good ways to do this using OSC or MIDI, or you could use a multichannel audio interface and send out synchronization pulses on unused audio channels. Just a thought.

Les
