Songs for ________ <---- (Your Name Here) Subject description: but I need space to upload! |
|
|
Your friend and mine Edison suggested I post some songs to the forum. It is my hope that I can make the playlist of one of your radio shows. I'm gonna post as many as I can 'til my quota is full (EDIT! my quota IS full. Can I have more space, mods? It would be much appreciated). I suppose if someone wants to play one or more of the songs they might make a note of it here, to prevent someone else playing the same song. Comments are strongly encouraged, positive, negative, or anything in between. Above all thanks for listening. One might mention my username so people can email with comments if they want to, but formally these songs are by 'Marck Ferrari.' Thanks folks. |

Marck, PM EdisonRex or Blue Hell to get your quota upped.

I think I'll start off by posting some short works, here goes:
'Mainframe' -- I did this in Synfactory, I was pleased by its corny, whimsical nature. It is a bit stereotypical in some ways, nothing too inventive but fun. That's why it's only a minute long.
'Get Me Offa This Thing' -- 37 seconds of hypomania. I utilized Native Instruments' B4 Hammond clone I believe, with EZdrummer doing drum duty. I laugh when I listen to this and I hope others might muster at least a chuckle.
'Hk-221' -- Another one minute piece. I titled it as one might a nasty secret government bio-weapon. Sonically I don't think I'm too far off. Best (or worst?) played loud.
'Scorch' -- One more minute. I just like the sounds here, I'm kind of proud of this one. I used a neon-tube instrument called the Octillator (hide the kids) for this, before it mysteriously stopped emitting sound.
Well, these will do for now, maybe give folks an idea of some of the stuff I do, I've done a couple songs in a sort of psyche/psycho rock style, i'll post at least one of those; a few longer rhythmic pieces, and many electroacoustic pieces with some granular flavors. More to come; I have 500MB to play with so I want to take advantage as long as people want to hear more. Thanks sincerely for listening.

This is some interesting and unique music, Marck. I'd be happy to play it on my Thursday show sometime in the next few weeks. That would eventually get it on the playlist. Perhaps EdisonRex would like to play it on his Monday show as well.

I see no reason they couldn't appear on more than one show. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Fun stuff! Perhaps it would be more at home in the online music forum though? Some people (like myself) occasionally pick their causal listening at boring moments at work from there.
