Would you like to hear more tracks that showcase particular modules, such as the track that demos the MPS?

I posted my pics of my newly-built MPS on the 2010 build thread and I recorded a track using the MPS as the sole module (except for a needed clock).

Since the MPS requires an external clock signal, I clocked the MPS with one of my Aries Oscillators. I did a little bit of looping but most of this track is straight without looping.

You will hear that the MPS can produce drones and sustained tones, too.

I'm very pleased with this module.

Hope you enjoy this little demo of the MPS.

MPSDemo1.mp3
 Description:
My new MPS module. The first five minutes showcases the module in "Locked" mode that causes it to produce sustained tones. The rest the track is done in triggered mode.

Nice Kevin. The Karplus Strong board under development here makes percussion sounds as well - you might be interested in a second run prototype. Just let me know if you are.

That was great Kevin!
I wouldn't even call it a demo. I'd call it a composition.
Your ability to really play a piece of analogue gear for an extended performance is evident by the spadeful. Very inspiring and meditative. Very Happy

Thank you, everyone for listening and for your compliments.

To read the DIY forums and to see and hear all manner of hardware at the electro-music festivals inspired me to jump in to DIY. So, I'm glad that others have, in turn, found inspiration in my work.

Build on!

That's great Kevin! I'd like to hear what you can do with one. Right now I'm struggling with understanding expo converters, and once I get that figured out I'll do a second run of boards. I'll PM you when they are ready.

Les
