Holy Canolli. That's a great lineup. The Earth will stay spinning on its axis for another six months for sure. Smile

Some day, I dream, we'll have live music 24 X 7.

Uh, problem.

I just noticed the calendar says "daylight savings time" (quotes mine, this is bogus crap) begins 14 March. Are we observing "doofus stupid time" in terms of the Spring Equinox schedule? I don't "observe" this time change, but I need to know so I can make sure I show up on time.

GMT is constant ... it does not change for daylight savings.

So when DST goes into effect, your time zone's relation to GMT will move ahead an hour

Shocked I know I said 'anytime available' because I was a latecomer but if anyone wants to switch with me (0600 GMT), I would really appreciate it.
I'll be on EDT, which means my time would be 2:00 AM. Laughing
Thanks!

I'm glad I bought this up.

Klaatu must be laughing his ass off, since they've learned to live without stupidity.

I remember when the US used to change to Daylight Savings Time in April--and that wasn't too long ago (George Bush was president when they moved it to March, if I remember correctly).

If I am doing the math correctly, Eastern Daylight Savings Time is GMT -4 (instead of GMT - 5), so we will be on an hour later than I originally though.

Glad this was brought up now rather than 3/20!!

Yeah last year I read a document that illustrated how DST actually doesn't save any energy consumption at all. On the contrary, we actually now use more energy because of DST... because people run their AC units longer with the increased sunlight in the daytime. Probably just what the bushites wanted for their corporate buddies.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EU being off from the US will cause the most confusion. If nothing else, just tune in during the event... find out who is playing and calculate your time from the event.
Of course, like the electro-music festivals, the performers are often the audience as well... so please tune in and support the other musicians, as well as find your time in relation to the event.
If you cannot hang out for the event, please try to be present in the chatroom 2 hours before your performance. There will be no way of putting you back into the lineup for the event if you miss your time or have technical difficulties (unless someone cancels a slot).
Also make sure you have any streaming trouble worked out BEFORE the day of the event. Stream Ops will likely NOT have much time to troubleshoot your set up as we must soundcheck, listen, and switch performers, every 30 to 60 mins. Very Happy
If anyone has any difficulty with time zones this site is quite helpful for keeping track of GMT
Ooh, I bet my GF would love to submit some of her photos. She's a photographer, among other crafty things. I will pass this request along to her. She has some beautiful spring imagery photos.
