I built a patch implementing MIDI note send similar to the example for note send in the manual. The gate does not work, and I am rather confused (it looks the same as the example.) I also do not understand why it only responds to E4 for the note input.

Html Help wrote:

Note! Always set the knob to ‘E4’ if you’re inputting regular bipolar Note data, e.g. from the Note Sequencer module, otherwise the transmitted MIDI notes will be transposed.

If anyone could enlighten me I'd be very grateful.

If it helps, I tried making a patch where the note send changes with each pitch. (it is the second patch.) I do not understand why it does not work either.

The note send is working fine, the note receive module is surplus to requirements. When set to one of the internal channels (SLOTA-D), the note send data is merged with the local KBD data and external MIDI (if any). Just turn the Envelope KBD button back on to hear it working. The MIDI note receive module is a little obscure, like the NoteDetect from the IN/OUT group, it only responds to a single MIDI note number. Used mostly for drum machine style patches. The MIDI version can also respond to notes from other MIDI channels.
The knobs on the note and velocity inputs add a constant offset to the note number and velocity respectivly.
