This month marks the one year anniversary for electro-music.com's regular streaming radio programs!
happy birthday

radio.electro-music is quite unique in streaming radio for its large output of LIVE streaming performances by numerous artists here. In fact, electro radio really prides itself on LIVE performance and is always interested in more people participating in electronic and electro-acoustic music at our site!

It is only fitting that we celebrate this occasion with a LIVE streaming party!

Saturday April 24th will be the official birthday party for electro-music's regular streaming radio programs! Please join in at 22:00 GMT !!!

I figured out what I'm going to do for the event. I've written a ChucK program that receives control signals from a 3-axis accelerometer and adjusts a delay loop's parameters with filtered noise as input. It makes the wildest sounds and it's good exercise for me, waving my arm around and stuff. Over that I may talk or read from the Ezekiel chapter of the KJV Bible. Should be fun for everyone!

Some magnificent stuff last night. Very Happy

It's different, this looser kind of taking turns streaming. It's fun!

My set involved Ableton Live clips and Soundlab Ultimate treated by a Nord Modular G2 which in turn was controlled by a monome 256 running a homemade midi control region thingie.

One day in chat (after Shane had announced the Anniversary Partay), Tantroniq wanted to join in but was not set up to do live streaming. I volunteered to "play" Tantroniq's music and over the next few days we talked about it.

I ended up taking 6 mp3 loops (blorps, bugs, drone1, drone2, drone3, and talkies), putting them into an emulator and a DM2 (DM Squared = digital music mixer), and playing them.

So, here's the result: "Collaboration - Dr. Steve Plays Tantroniq."
