Confused about OS version (NordLead2)

Hello,

I recently picked up a NordLead2 and so far, I just love it. Very Happy

I noticed that my OS is version 1.03. Clavia's website says the latest is 1.06. I also realize that the only way to upgrade is to either obtain a new EEPROM with 1.06 on it, or get my existing EEPROM re-flashed with it.

But after visiting this forum, I see that some NordLead1 owners have versions as high as 2.3. So my question is two fold:

(1) What is the latest OS that I can/should put into my NL2
(2) Any tips on how to acheive this in the US?

The latest OS update is version 1.06, which dates from 2001 Smile

To update from 1.03 to 1.06 you have to change the Eeprom. I'm sure about the Lead1, which has no Eeprom left anymore, so Clavia asks for the chip and reload it to 2.3.
It could be the same procedure would go for the NordLead2.
The update was not that important (some bug fixed concerning the memory, no extra features...)

To research the availability contact the local distributor and do this by phone! Using the support site on NordKeyBoards.com you have to send the serial number and if it is not on the distributors list, no answer... Well some answer anyway, but there are others who don't. Better is to ask by phone, or better in the flesh, what is possible. You have to pay anyway. It could take a while, because Clavia wants to do a little bunch of burning Eeproms rather to do single ones, but there is a limit in time to wait Smile
