Hey everybody!

My SH-101 is sick...
It's got a few dead keys and the CV input is not working.

Any recommendations for repair shops?

Thanks for any help!!

These sound like pretty minor repairs. Where are you located? There's usually a good tech near just about anyone.

It's a little far, but I'd bring it to this place in Austin:

http://switchedonaustin.com/

The dead keys are probably either membrane contacts that could be cleaned with isopropanol (same as this type http://www.oldcrows.net/~oldcrow/synth/korg/polysix/keyclean.html) or corroded traces on the PCB that can be jumpered.

Hard to say what the CV problem is, but it might be a simple contact issue. Best of luck getting it fixed.

forgot about this post...

but i have an UPDATE!

over this past year Switched On in Austin fixed my SH-101!!!

IT'S AMAZING!!!!!
and quiet...hardly any ground noiz at all.

i used to have to deal with a B flat constantly.

it is so happy and evil again and now it has a doom partner...the miniBRUTE.

the two of them together is...well...it's just darkness vreeping through the system...vreep...vreep...
