Hey everybody!
My SH-101 is sick...
It's got a few dead keys and the CV input is not working.
Any recommendations for repair shops?
Thanks for any help!! _________________

These sound like pretty minor repairs. Where are you located? There's usually a good tech near just about anyone. |

It's a little far, but I'd bring it to this place in Austin:
http://switchedonaustin.com/
The dead keys are probably either membrane contacts that could be cleaned with isopropanol (same as this type http://www.oldcrows.net/~oldcrow/synth/korg/polysix/keyclean.html) or corroded traces on the PCB that can be jumpered.
Hard to say what the CV problem is, but it might be a simple contact issue. Best of luck getting it fixed. |

forgot about this post...
but i have an UPDATE!
over this past year Switched On in Austin fixed my SH-101!!!
IT'S AMAZING!!!!!
and quiet...hardly any ground noiz at all.
i used to have to deal with a B flat constantly.
it is so happy and evil again and now it has a doom partner...the miniBRUTE.
the two of them together is...well...it's just darkness vreeping through the system...vreep...vreep... _________________
